The CUPRA Leon VZ TCR continues to push the limits in 2025, taking on more racers and helping teams compete at the top of the grid. This high-performance touring car is set to make an even bigger impact on the racing world.
Championship Success
CUPRA Leon VZ TCR teams have already secured multiple championship titles in 2024, including TCR Europe and TCR Mexico, while also claiming victories in every series it entered. The car also competed in the FIA Motorsport Games, where it took a podium finish last year.
For 2025, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR will debut in Asia, competing in TCR China and in the USA, where it will take on the demanding IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Dominating the Global Racing Scene
With over 46 races completed, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR has already claimed victories in key events, such as:
TCR Mexico Sprint & TCR Mexico Endurance
TCR Europe Series, with Franco Girolami driving for Monlau Motorsport
Competitions at iconic tracks like Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Imola (Italy)
At the FIA Motorsport Games 2024, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR was among the eligible cars for the Touring Car competition, a prestigious event where national teams battle for victory. The Brazilian team secured a second-place podium finish, while the Spanish team fought hard for a podium position, finishing fourth overall.
Commitment to Sustainable Racing
During the FIA Motorsport Games, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR ran on fuel with 50% advanced sustainable components, significantly reducing both the car’s and the event’s carbon footprint.
2025: A Year of New Challenges
The 2025 racing season will be even more competitive as the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR enters new championships:
TCR China (Asia) – A key debut in the region
IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (North America) – One of the most historic endurance racing series in the USA
This IMSA event features WSC Touring Car Racing homologated models with engines producing 300-350 horsepower and speeds exceeding 260 km/h.
Teams will have the opportunity to choose the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR for 11 races in the series, starting with the Daytona International Speedway in Florida (Jan 22-26, 2025).
