In order to promote the strategic transformation of the Spanish automotive industry and its entire value chain, the Government of Spain approved in 2021 the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for the Electric and Connected Vehicle (VEC). That same year, Future: Fast Forward was announced, a project led by Volkswagen Group and SEAT, S.A. with the objectives of guiding the electrification of the automotive industry in Spain and turning the country into a hub for electric mobility in Europe. This initiative, involving the largest business grouping in the automotive sector in Spain and proposing a record industrial investment of 10 billion euros, has been one of SEAT, S.A.'s strategic priorities over the past two years.

In December 2022, the final resolution of the PERTE was announced, approving the following projects:

MITMA:

Additionally, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, on December 15, 2022, the resolution for the first call for subsidies under the Sustainable and Digital Transport Support Program was published, under competitive bidding, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan – financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU:
