The Area Alert is a feature available via your My CUPRA App allows you to get a notification when your vehicle enters a predefined area. It is particularly helpful if you lend your vehicle to a friend or family member and for some reason, you want to know if this person goes to a certain place, at a certain time.
This service is available for a primary user of the vehicle, which means that you can control the whereabouts of a second user. It will work only if the "Share My Position" feature is activated and your car can be located by the App, so if you want to use the feature, make sure that you select that first.
How does it work?
You can predefine the areas that you want to control using the My CUPRA App. You can predefine 10 areas, and four of them will be active at the same time.
To define an area, you need to push the Vehicle tab and then push notifications. Enter the Alert section and select a zone on your local map. Any place in Europe can be selected.
