Activation: Enrollment with QR code

 

Once you buy your CUPRA vehicle, you have to go through the CUPRA ID creation process. To make this as simple as possible, we have a registration assistant who is going to help you directly create a CUPRA ID account using our My CUPRA App. After that, he is going to give you tips and guide you through the process of logging in and enrolling the vehicle.

 

During the process of registering and vehicle enrolment, you will have access to all legally relevant information. You will see information about the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), Privacy Policies, etc. Before processing the QR code verification, the customers have to agree with all of the legal contract agreements.

 

We are one of the first brands that implement vehicle activation enrolment with QR codes. To do that, you just have to log in to your CUPRA ID account. Once logged in, you would have to enter the VIN, create an S-PIN and accept our CONNECT contract agreement. After you agree with the contract, then you would have the ability to become the Primary User in two ways:

 

·       You can use the QR code in the application

·       Log in with an e-mai

 

We are implementing all of these new features and functions to make the whole process as fast and simple as possible for our customers. Surveys show that our QR process reduces the needed time by 50% compared to the previous GEN 3 systems.

 

The QR code that the infotainment system provides only lasts 5 minutes, and after that a new QR would need to be generated. This means that if someone interrupts you during the process of vehicle enrolment, the system will restart and you will have the ability to start all over again.

 

The enrolment process can be done through the infotainment system and the My CUPRA App. For you to enrol a vehicle, you need to become the primary user and either the Online Mode with Location data or the Online mode need to be turned on, for the function to work properly. If you have put the vehicle in offline mode, it won’t be able to connect with our servers.

 

Beware, you need to ensure that all of the updates have been done correctly during the inspections that are done in the pre-delivery process. This guarantees the proper functioning of the enrolment process.
