Car Personalization with Connect Gen4

CUPRA is dedicated to making drivers happy and their lives easier. Every feature in CUPRA vehicles is customer-centric.

When it comes down to car personalisation, the customer will have the ability to customise a large variety of parameters. This means the vehicle is completely adjusted to their preferences. Some of these features include climate, lighting, rearview mirrors, wipers, ambient lights, FAS preferences, etc.

You will have access to all car personalisation options through the infotainment system. Your CUPRA ID stores all the settings that you make in the vehicle. If you want to make personalisation options to your vehicle, you need to enrol it with your CUPRA ID. You will be able to change your preferences at any time in the vehicle. If you feel something is uncomfortable, you can immediately change the setting on the go.

The car personalisation service’s goal is to make everything faster and easier for you. If more than one person drives a single car, drivers continually need to go through the ritual of readjusting their settings every time they get into the car. But with CUPRA, the settings get adjusted as soon as you get in the vehicle and login with your CUPRA ID. But it’s not only about comfort with your seat, but safety behind the wheel, as this feature ensures that the mirrors and steering wheel will always be where they need to be.

There are a lot of functions that get saved on your CUPRA ID and vehicle. Generally, they get separated into two categories: Online parameters and Offline parameters

  • Online parameters are features that will be set up even if you login into a different vehicle in our brand. This includes lane change assistant, exit warning system, back and front beeper volume, brightness on the interior lights, exiting and entry lights timing, mirror lowering while in reverse gear, mirror folding when the vehicle is locked, rear window wiping when in reverse, seat heating intensity and learning function, SYNC, convenience turn signals, automatic headlight control if it’s raining, etc.

  • Offline parameters are features that are saved only on your enrolled vehicle. This means they can’t be transferred to another CUPRA vehicle. Some examples are front assist, acc, rear cross traffic alert, park pilot, brightness zones for ambient lights, etc.

All these parameters can be edited from the infotainment system. To be able to do this, you either need to be a primary user or an additional user. Guest users don’t have access to those settings, since they don’t have a CUPRA ID connected.

To customise the out car parameters, the vehicle needs to be either in Online Mode with Location Data or Online Mode.
